SaveNeighbor Terms of Service

1. What SaveNeighbor Is
SaveNeighbor is a trust-based local help platform. It helps users connect with people they choose to trust, including friends, family, neighbors, reliable couriers, trusted helpers, requesters, and other chosen connections. Users may use SaveNeighbor to request or coordinate local help, including pickups, deliveries, errands, and related tasks. SaveNeighbor is designed around user-created trusted networks. SaveNeighbor is not a public marketplace for random matching with strangers.
2. What SaveNeighbor Is Not
SaveNeighbor is not a delivery company, transportation company, employer of helpers/couriers/users, restaurant, merchant, ordering platform, payment processor for restaurant orders, insurer, background-check provider, or guarantee that any request will be accepted, completed, safe, timely, or error-free.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use SaveNeighbor. SaveNeighbor is not intended for children under 13.
4. Accounts
Users agree to provide accurate information, keep accounts secure, and not impersonate others or use another person's account without permission.
5. Trusted Connections
Users are responsible for deciding who to invite, accept, trust, or remove from their network. Invite links or QR codes do not automatically create trusted relationships.
6. Requests and Local Help
Users may create requests for pickups, deliveries, errands, or other local help. Users agree to act honestly, safely, and lawfully. Users may not use SaveNeighbor for illegal goods/services, weapons, dangerous materials, controlled substances, harassment, stalking, threats, abuse, fraud, theft, deception, or unsafe/unlawful activity.
7. Food Delivery and Restaurant Orders
If a request involves food pickup or restaurant pickup, the requester is responsible for placing and prepaying the restaurant order outside SaveNeighbor unless SaveNeighbor explicitly provides another payment option in the future. SaveNeighbor does not place restaurant orders, process restaurant payments, guarantee merchant availability, or control restaurant preparation. Helpers should not begin food delivery until the requester has confirmed the order has been placed and prepaid where required by the app flow.
8. Tips and Compensation
Unless SaveNeighbor later adds in-app payments, any tip, payment, reimbursement, or compensation arrangement is between users involved. SaveNeighbor is not responsible for collecting, paying, guaranteeing, or enforcing user-to-user payments outside the platform.
9. User Content
Users are responsible for information they provide, including profile information, request details, locations, instructions, updates, and notes. Users agree not to submit unlawful, abusive, false, misleading, fraudulent, or rights-violating content. SaveNeighbor may use, display, store, and process user content as needed to operate the service.
10. Location and Address Information
SaveNeighbor may display pickup/drop-off locations to users involved in a request. SaveNeighbor may provide links to third-party map services, but does not control map results, directions, routing, or travel times.
11. Safety
SaveNeighbor does not guarantee the identity, reliability, conduct, safety, legality, or suitability of any user. Users are responsible for their interactions. In an emergency, contact emergency services.
12. No Background Checks or Vetting
Unless SaveNeighbor explicitly states otherwise, SaveNeighbor does not conduct background checks, identity verification, driving record checks, insurance checks, or professional licensing verification.
13. Acceptable Use
Users may not use SaveNeighbor for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, spammy, deceptive, or unauthorized purposes. Users may not misuse invite links, QR codes, trusted network features, accounts, requests, or user data.
14. Account Suspension or Removal
SaveNeighbor may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts and remove or limit access to content, requests, connections, invite links, or features if a user violates the Terms or creates risk.
15. Third-Party Services
SaveNeighbor may use third-party services including authentication, hosting, databases, email, map links, analytics, security, or support tools. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies.
16. Service Availability
SaveNeighbor is an early-stage service and may change, pause, discontinue features, or stop operating at any time. SaveNeighbor is provided "as is" and "as available."
17. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, SaveNeighbor disclaims all warranties, express or implied. SaveNeighbor does not guarantee requests, helpers, requesters, user conduct, location accuracy, third-party services, or uninterrupted/error-free operation.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, SaveNeighbor and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, property damage, failed deliveries, payment disputes, user conduct, or third-party actions. SaveNeighbor's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount paid directly to SaveNeighbor in the three months before the claim or $100.
19. Indemnification
Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SaveNeighbor and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from claims arising from their use of SaveNeighbor, requests, deliveries, errands, interactions, content, violations of Terms, violations of law, or violations of another person's rights.
20. Changes to These Terms
SaveNeighbor may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means the user accepts the updated Terms.
